What are the tech requirements for the World of Learning programs? (for tech admins)


If you have students or teachers accessing World of Learning courses, please be sure to allow access to the following email domains and websites on your filtering and security software. 

Email Domains to Allow for Communication

  • @iu08.org
  • @worldoflearninginstitute.com
  • @geniussis.com
  • @instructure.com

Websites to Allow for Information and Support

System Requirements for  World of Learning Courses

Check with your school to see if your district is providing the device. 
  1. DEVICES: Computer or Chromebook
  2. OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows® 10; Mac® OSX 10.14+; Chrome OS
  3. VIDEO: 1024×768 minimum resolution required
  4. AUDIO: Speakers and Microphone (or headset with microphone)
  5. SOFTWARE: Microsoft Office, Open Office or Google Docs
  6. PRINTER: Inkjet or laser printer (not required, but helpful) 
  7. BROWSERS: Firefox or Chrome
    1. Ensure JavaScript is enabled
    2. Accept third-party cookies (Directions)
    3. Disable pop-up blockers on Firefox or Chrome
Some users have had success with iPads, iOS/Android Tablets, but some activities may not display properly on these devices due to screen size. 
Safari settings on iPads should be configured as follows:
  1. Settings -> Safari -> Privacy & Security -> Block All Cookies MUST BE OFF
  2. Settings -> Safari -> Privacy & Security -> Prevent Cross-Site Tracking MUST BE OFF
