How do I submit files or make text entries in Canvas?
Sometimes, your teacher may ask you to submit a file (such as a document, image, spreadsheet, or slide presentation). You can do this in Canvas on a mobile device or on a computer/Chromebook. For steps to submit media recordings, view this help article.
On a Mobile Device
Go to the assignment to be submitted.
Tap the "Submit Assignment" button and choose
Library - to submit a photo you've already taken.
Files - to submit a document or file you have already saved on your device.
Scanner - to use your device to take a picture of a paper.
After making your selection, tap"Submit."
On a Computer/Chromebook
In your course, go to the assignment and click the "Submit Assignment" button.
To upload a:
File - click the "Choose File" button. When the file window appears, locate and click the name of the file. At the bottom of the window, click the Choose or Browse button (depending on your browser).
Google Doc - click the "Google Doc" tab
Typed entry - click the "Text Entry" tab
Website address - click the "Website URL" tab.
After making your selection, click "Submit Assignment" to submit.
Note: Adobe Flash Player Settings may appear to allow access to the microphone or webcam devices.
